Already the hottest happy hour destination in the Central West End, our newest Lester’s was custom made for this sophisticated neighborhood of cobblestone streets and sidewalk cafes. The sleek interior décor, with its woven leather chairs and dozens of HD flat screens, is head-and-shoulders above any sports bar you’ve ever laid eyes on. But this is just the beginning. Wait’ll you step foot on the gorgeous rooftop patio with its stunning views of brownstones and tree-lined streets—and, yes, even more flat screens for watching the big game. As you’d expect, the menu offerings are spectacular, featuring authentic, homemade New York deli-style sandwiches and barbecue delicacies like pulled pork, smoked beef brisket and baby back ribs. Perfect for a family brunch or client lunch. With a happy hour that lasts until 10 pm, Monday through Thursday, it’s easy to see why Lester’s in the CWE has become a neighborhood mainstay practically overnight.

The orders were filled really quickly (I was amazed) and it was delicious! I got the beef brisket sandwich and added spicy bbq sauce that's on the tables. Omigoodness, it was fantastic! Tender and cooked to perfection. I'd love to say it was too much for delicate-little me to finish, but I gobbled it down. Came with a side of potato salad which was really good as well. Good atmosphere, not real noisy at that time of day, but business appeared to be brisk. Loved the location on the CWE. Wish them much success and will be back again.
I popped in the day before Thanksgiving for the first time and had a wonderful experience. This was absolutely the type of restaurant/bar the CWE was previously lacking. I'll dub it classy sports bar. LOTS of TVs on the walls and individual TVs at the bar top tables. Diverse menu (limited for vegetarians, but still options). Good beer options on tap. We had great service when we were there. I know this place gets really crowded on game days, but I'll absolutely try and return.
